There's a magic in the air at Chautauqua that is hard to find anywhere else. We both grew up here and started talking about doing "something with food" a decade ago. Not making it out to Chautauqua in 2020 broke my heart and after last summer, I called Dennis to start up the conversation again. I figured if there was a summer to do it, maybe 2021 was our year.
Turns out, with Chautauqua Institution at half capacity this year, the restaurant where Dennis started his cooking career is allowing us to use their kitchen for our production this summer. We worked hard from October of 2020 to April of 2021 to obtain the kitchen, finalize a working menu, and decide on a name.
After lots of phone calls, meetings, long hours, and many set-backs we are finally back in Chautauqua! Our first week was spent cleaning our future kitchen (and home) and now we're working hard to finalize our bread recipes. We're excited to bring you with us on our journey this summer, we have lots of fun things planned!
